Our next in person meeting is planned to be held on Saturday October 26th in the Fort Worth/ Weatherford area. Our host hotel is the [Fairfield Inn and Suites], Weatherford, TX, located at 175 Alford Drive, Weatherford, TX 76087. The hotel phone number is 817.363.2014. (The information listed on our contract said the price as $119-$139 per night but the agreement is for $119. The link was tested and got a rate of $119.)
The doors to the meeting room usually open at 9:00AM for visiting with members, artists and our dealer. And of course looking at all the beautiful paperweights on display and for sale if you wish!!
The meeting itself begins promptly at 10:00AM. We will have updates from various PCATX committees. If you are a newcomer please do not be put off by the “business” portion of the meeting as it doesn’t take long and is usually entertaining!
We will be having door prizes and “Show and Tell” at this meeting in the morning. Please bring any door prize donations and any “Show and Tell” items for everyone to enjoy…..
Our guest artist for the meeting will be Eric Hanson [Eric Hansen Art Glass].
This meeting will be a little different than our usual format. The morning meeting will be held at the hotel and the afternoon will be at Eric Hanson’s home/studio for demonstrations.
Lunch is currently not planned to be provided at this meeting. So please make plans for your own lunch. Weatherford town square is nearby with cafes, shops and galleries. After lunch, we will meet at the home of Cheryl and Eric Hansen, located at 703 E. Lake Drive, Weatherford, TX 76087, to tour Eric’s new workshop and purchase paperweights, vases or jewelry. Our meeting usually ends about 3 o’clock.
A Friday night dinner location will be 6:00PM at Rio Mambo, 1302 S. Main St., Weatherford, TX . has not yet been selected. You can meet us at the dinner location or catch a ride from the event hotel with someone. Newcomers are welcome!!
