To further the art of the paperweight, the Paperweight Collectors Association of Texas, Inc. offers scholarships to glass artists wishing to advance their paperweight making skills. If you are a paperweight artist who has identified a class that you want to enroll in, fill out the attached form and send it to our PCA-TX Scholarship & Grants Committee for review. Since 2001 over $28,000 has been given to deserving students and organizations.
The Paperweight Collectors Association of Texas, Inc. also offers grants to worthy glass oriented organizations. If you are an organization that promotes glass and/or paperweight artists please fill out the attached form and send it to our PCA-TX Scholarship & Grant Committee for review.

2022 – Christina Callahan – coming to paperweights from the world of glass beads. She will be studying complex murrine for use in paperweights while in Paris with Daisuke Takeuchi (one of Japan’s leading glass artists) Daisuke Takeuchi in Paris.

2017 – Cathy Richardson – to study glass engraving at the International Summer School at Bild-Werk Frauenau located in the Bavarian-Czech borderlands of Germany

2015 – David Graeber – to study at The Studio at Corning Museum of Glass with William Gudenrath – “An In-Depth Introduction to Venetian Techniques”

2013 – Damon MacNaught – to study lampwork encasement with Debbie Tarsitano.
